Do you do anything besides Blondes?
We do anything that involves lightening hair! We do love brunettes and adding dimension to their hair with rich tones and color melts.
Any great vivid hair artist must have a strong foundation in lightening hair in many different ways like bleach and tones and highlights but we also work with a lot of bases needing corrective work.
My passion for rainbow hair and blonde hair go hand in hand and have supported my desire to strength my all around skills to be able to take on anything that sits in my chair.
Can I get in tomorrow?
We have worked really hard to bring down our wait time as much as possible but if you are looking to get in same day I rarely have day of appointments available. If you are looking for a possible opening watch us on Instagram or join our email list. Email subscribers get first dibs on cancellations!
Im confused on my GPS. It brought me to Slate Salon.
Your GPS will bring you into Portage Michigan and to a salon that says Slate Salon. I am a booth renter inside of this business meaning I run my own business, independently of Slate Salon. How much will my appointment be ?
I love our simplified menu because when you choose your appointment you know exactly what the price of your service is going to be. No hidden bowl fees, no surprise treatment charge. If you are unsure of which service best fits you and your dream hair service our new client intake form is sure t remove the guess work. We can double check your current hair and your inspo photo with a few extra questions to help you choose the best option.
Why are you gratuity free?
I dropped away tipping a few years because i wanted a menu that was crystal clear for clients what their service would cost. Due to the large service work I tend to do tipping can add an added factor of stress for a client. Instead this way you come in knowing what you service is and I can take care of the rest and do what I do best!
What if i don’t want all the extras included in the service?
I really want to do what is best for your hair and including a light trim and treatment to each service ensures hair health is always a main focus. The pre-treatment before the service is to ensure that the hair is free of anything that would cause a chemical reaction with lightner or color, a part of the service I truly believe in.
